UNMAPPED POKER RUN:

WHAT IS AN UNMAPPED POKER RUN?
An Unmapped Poker Run means the route will be revealed to you from one stop to the next. It is a very old school way of doing a poker run and keeping the adventure going.

IS THIS ROUTE OK FOR NEW RIDERS?
Yes. Take your time and let others around if you need. Experienced riders be respectful of those that are choosing to take it easy whether they are new or just enjoying the cruise. This route offers a little bit of everything.
HOW AND WHERE CAN I REGISTER?
You can pre-register online to save some money and your spot through the above button or in person at sign-up at the Golden Oyster on the NE corner of Aztec Rd and HWY 68. Although they are not open they do have a paved parking lot that will be swept a couple of days before.
CAN A PASSENGER HAVE THEIR OWN POKER HANDS?
Yes. Prices are the same for passengers as they are for the rider.

CAN I GET AN EXTRA CARDS?
Yes.
EXTRA CARD - 1st card $5.00 - 2nd card $3.00 If you purchase extra cards your final hand will be made up of the best or worst hand made up of 5 of the 6 or 7 cards, which ever ranks highest compared to all other hands. Both of the extra cards will be available at the final stop inside the cabin.
WHAT IF I PULL A CARD I ALREADY HAVE?
If you pull a card that is already on your tally sheet you must pull another card at no charge. Different suits are not considered the same. Example: An Ace of Hearts is not the same as an Ace of Spades.
CAN I BUY AN EXTRA HAND?
Yes. 1 extra 5 card hand is available per person (rider or passenger) for $10.00 at the sign-in table. You will receive 2 tally sheets. When you arrive at each stop, including sign-up, you will be asked for one sheet for which you will draw a card and that card will be written on your tally sheet. After the first sheet is handed back to you, you will get to pull a card for the second hand. Only 1 hand may be entered at the final stop. Which ever hand puts you in a better position for your best chance at a win.

WHAT IF THERE IS A TIE?
Tie breakers will be broken by each player of the tie being given a chance to draw a card at the final stop.
*High hand ties - A final winner will be determined by high card draw.
*Low hand ties - A final winner will be determined by low card draw.
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
Prize totals figured out of registration totals. 50% of the registration fees go to the charity, the other 50% will be split 60%/40% between the high and low hand.
Example: 50 bikes registered Total, $200 prize pool, $120.00 high hand and $80.00 to low hand
Prize totals depend upon the total number of bikes registered.
You will receive a specific colored bead to put on a safety pin at each of the designated stops that will verify that you have gone to each card pick up so that you can enter the park at no charge.

ROUTE:
WHERE DO I GET MY MAP AT?
Route maps will be handed out at each card stop going from one stop to the next. There will be 3 stops between the start and the end party location.
WHAT IS THE ROUTE LIKE?
The route has straight, flat, hills, curves wide and narrow, highway and frontage roads. We have done our best to add a little bit of everything appealing to beginners and advanced riders.

HOW FAR IS THE ROUTE?
To make sure that everyone can make it to the rally in time for lunch and keep the ride good for all level of riders and avoiding a lot of stop and goes, the route is apx 50 miles. Many will say too short and some will say great. With riders coming from all over Mohave County riding to the sign in will add extra miles. Leaving the Hualapais will also add to the days ride. For many that is what their body can handle. Unfortunately we will never make everyone happy, but we can still guarantee nice scenery, good food and new great memories with lots of laughs. *We are already planning a longer one for in the spring.

FUEL UP:
The Maverick in Golden Valley and US Gas are usually much cheaper than kingman. If coming from or through BHC Fast Strip is usually cheapest. Updates on gas prices closer to the run will be posted.

FOOD AND DRINKS:
When you arrive at the park you will take in the smells of fresh popcorn and BBQ with all the fixins along with cold beer, soda and bottled water.

You can look forward to a full plate bbq with the fixins and your choice of soda or bottled water.

Don't eat meat or want an extra side? You'll be able to do that.

All sales are CASH until further posted. Cell service is sketchy for taking cards.

Conduct:
On the road - Caring Hearts for Horses Poker Run is an organized scenic ride, not a race. If you feel like you are being overtaken by a faster rider, please pull over when safe to do so and allow faster riders to pass. If you're the faster rider, please pass safely and dont run the other rider off the road.. Remember you will be sharing the road with other cars and wildlife.
At the party - We are all working very hard to make an after party that will make you want to come back year after year. Part of keeping things fun means leaving any attitudes at home and keeping the games fun and the laughs going. Fighting will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.
